What I’ve Been Up To Lately: Comics Galore

I’ve been involved in quite a few comics related events lately.

29th of January: Panel Discussion on Comics

I organised an event at Ad Fontes, a student pub here in Bergen, where we discussed comics’ relation to other media and institutions.

7th of March: A Talk During Critical Thinking Day at The University of Bergen

My talk was called: “Å skrive med bilder: tegneseriemediets egenart og posisjon”. Put simpler: I talked about how the medium of comics has been viewed and treated by the academic community in general throughout history.

Another panel discussion, this time on the Sproing award nominees and “best of lists” in general. More here. Also: a lot of other discussions and interviews, all comics related.

22nd and 24th of April: Two Comics Courses at Alfa & Omega, a literature festival for children
