I tweeted about this book a couple of days ago, but I think it deserves its own blog post too. A Coded Message is “a picture book for children between 8 and 12 years old entirely made in ASCII”. What’s ASCII, you ask? It’s a widely used standard for encoding text documents on computers. In other words: The images in A Coded Message are really nothing but computer symbols and characters.
