Eddie Campbell, my favourite Scottish cartoonist and purveyor of “liberated penmanship”, was recently interviewed by Richard Fidler on ABC Local’s Conversations with Richard Fidler.

Eddie talked about how he, when asked by Alan Moore to draw From Hell, didn’t accept a mammoth Jack the Ripper project right away: “I hate horror, did I really want to be drawing the activities of the most infamous serial murderer in history?”
